Wishlist

All fanlistings I own are granted wishlisters, however there are still those still not in my hands. UnFortunately, they're very much well taken care of by their current owners. These fanlisting subjects will probably never become mine, but fate is a funny thing. My top 3 wishlisters are very dear to me, and I think I'd pass out from happiness if ever I was ever given a chance to own them. If you're the current owner of any of these fanlistings and plan to adopt them out, a little note would be very much appreciated.

• Botan

  

  What initially drew me to Botan are her unusual hair and eye colors, fueled by the fact that she's a shinigami, a concept I find most interesting in the Japanese culture. Truth be told, her behavior was first met with skepticism by me; after all, she is a bit too cheerful and light-hearted to personify one of the things people fear: death. She's an escorter of the souls to the crossroads. I'm amazed by how she manages to still have the heart to have compassion for humans and even demons despite her being a psychopomp. She is sympathetic and cares for other people very much. Not much is known about her, and her mysterious character made me want to know more. At times, she's a "what you see is what you get" type of character, but I believe everything about her runs deeper. Her personality is what I love most about her, but as a whole package, I just adore her.

• Botan & Kurama (Minamino Shuuichi/Youko Kurama)

  

  Kurama/Botan is my OTP, and no one ever comes close. KB is the ship I sail no matter where I go, no matter what I do. They might not have a lot of interaction in the manga and animé, but I believe that they make for a very interesting couple. They're not the complete opposite of the other; they have similarities that people tend to overlook. Their personalities complement each other, and they have what I like to call "balance." Botan is a compassionate spirit; Kurama used to be a cruel one. However, both of them value their loved ones and are willing to sacrifice their lives for others. I know they're not canon. I'd love to have every Kurama and Botan moments be a hint/evidence that there's something going on between the two, in fact. But I guess I'm much too 'logical' for that...but not logical enough to dispel the pairing altogether, it seems. After all, my reasons for loving KB are purely shallow, bloody fanatical, and extremely illogical.

• Yu Yu Hakusho

  

  Yu Yu Hakusho is probably the only manganimé series I'd love for the rest of my life. I've been a gushing fan since the 1990's, and my love for the series, instead of diminishing over the years, only grows stronger and more powerful as I grow older. I love the series as a whole for its extremely well-written story and for its humor. The friendship and romance aspects of it are also special in my eyes. I love every single character of YYH for their design and personality. Even most of the villains are loveable, with the exception of some ugly human creatures that hold no regard for life. I watch and read the series again and again, to the point that I even dream of some scenes even in my sleep. From cover to cover, from the beginning till the end, Togashi Yoshihiro's most popular series has made and left a big mark on my heart, surpassed by no other series even after all this time.

I also hope to maintain these someday... (and in order, too!)

  Thank you so much, Veronica! Actually, I think I had no competition at all when this fanlisting was put up for adoption, but I'm still grateful that this was passed down to me.

• Nara Shikamaru & Temari

  This was fairly surprising, to be honest. I did not expect at all to be chosen to adopt this; I'm sure a lot of people applied for the fanlisting, and have been, in fact, serving the fandom for significantly longer than me. Given that I'm not a huge fan of Naruto (the series) at all, and that all I ever really absorb from the manga is anything Shikamaru and Temari related, and even admitting these facts in my application, I was near tears when I read that I was chosen to run it. I am in lust love with the pairing subject, and it is second only to Kurama/Botan. This is my biggest wishlister granted so far (both in terms of total happiness points acquired and in number), and I will forever be grateful to Chrizta for entrusting it to me. ShikaTema is hot. That is all. :D

• Yu Yu Hakusho: Music of

  This is a bit different of a story. I was panicked when I saw it in troubles, and even considered shooting an email to the owner and beg her to update. But I didn't, and I regret that. When I saw that it was removed from The Anime Fanlistings Network, I sat it out and eventually decided to apply. After I finished it, I went to the original fanlisting and saw, to my great surprise, that it was updated recently. I emailed the owner and told her about the situation, and she said that she was not even aware of its removal. I offered her to be co-owner because (1) I wanted to keep the members (talk about hidden agendum, hehe) and (2) if anything, it was just a misunderstanding and confusion, and I knew she still wanted the fanlisting. She accepted my proposition, and I now co-own this fanlisting with her. :) Thank you, Emerald, for everything!
